Caleb has had a very big month! His first tooth finally broke through around the middle of September, and the second followed through a few days later.
Then last week he made his first progressive move forward. Crawling has arrived! It's so amazing to watch him discover, not only the world around him, but how his body works as well. Whenever he rolls, scoots, pulls, or crawls, his eyes immediately go to you for approval. He is so proud of himself! :)
Emily was sad to see the summer come to an end, but she LOVES the 1st grade. When we pick her up from school, she always reminds us about her homework. I only wish it stayed that way all the way through high school...wouldn't that make life easier! But for now, she is more than happy to work on her Algebra. That's right, I said Algebra - in first grade - she is going to be so much smarter than her parents! haha! She's also still infatuated with her baby brother. She is such the little mother. She is right in the middle of feedings, diaper changes, bath time, and play time. One night we kept Tyler, the 1 year old son of some good friends of ours. As for Jim and I, we are trying to get in all the family time we can get. Life is so hectic this time of year since he is in the heart of the swim season, but we manage to squeeze in a few of those quiet evenings at home. Hopefully now that we are starting the 2nd six weeks of school (hard to believe the first one is already over) we have settled into a routine that seems to making things easier. (Thank you mom for everything you do to make this work!!!)
