Thanksgiving 2009

What a wonderful holiday! Not only were we excited that is was Caleb's first Thanksgiving, but we were also lucky enough to have almost the entire family gathered together. We drove down to Beeville and stayed for 4 days. It was so great to catch up with family that we don't get to see very often. Eating, napping, visiting, and cornhole on the front lawn...what more could we ask for?!




Emily had a great time with her cousins. They worked in Grandad's shop, building bug-catchers (with Brian's help) and then spent the rest of the time looking for grasshoppers, beetles, and anything else they were brave enough to pick up. Emily had a blast!



She is such a little mother, too! Being the oldest, she loves to "take care" of the others. Here's a picture of her reading to Jacob...too cute!



Caleb seemed to enjoy his first Thanksgiving, too. I think it was a little overwhelming at first, but he loves the attention! (He IS my child!!!) He even ate a little bit of traditional Thanksgiving food. He LOVES stuffing! In fact, he ate so much he just had to lay down with Poppy and take a little snooze!



These are truly my favorite times of year. I love having the family all together and enjoying all that we have been blessed with.
